Analog, Hybrid, or Digital?  You Choose!

I got into this business as a performing and touring musician.  Everything I have learned about production was always from a musician’s perspective.  15 years later, as an engineer and producer, I still attack every situation from the perspective of what the Artist would want and how they would feel most comfortable to get the best performance.  This is why we do what we do: to capture lightning in a bottle, and that comes from all other mental interference giving way to the creative force of the song.   This studio is a product of my desire to create a place for both engineers and musicians alike to tap into the source and make music at seismic proportions.

Size McStudio is an Analog, Hybrid or Digital Studio. Located right by the Williamsburg Bridge in Brooklyn, NY.  The studio is both Full Service-offering up to 32 channels of recording and analog to digital mixing- and an Intimate environment for creativity. Just like recoding in your living room but with much better gear…Unless of course you’re Dave Grohl.  Take a break on the Rooftop and take in one of the best views of the City.

Each piece of gear here was selected to offer a the wide variety of colors and flavors for your tracking or mixing session. Its like those children’s books from childhood, choose your own adventure.  The centerpiece of the rig is not one console but actually 3 distinctly different consoles that all work together in one patch bay: A Sony/MCI JCH618 with half of the channels have modded with John Hardy pre-amps, a 1979 Neve Melbourne 5432 range fully modded with direct line ins and direct line outs and an 8 channel API mixer to round out the gear.
However, what really makes the setup great isn’t any one thing, but the versatility and various combinations of analog stages you can use on your way to the final mix.  This is a place that can adapt to any engineer.
Size McStudio is my personal sanctuary and the best value to you at the same time.
